ECI Students Hit the Maritimes
LighthouseOn May 15th, Erickson Collegiate Institute students voyaged to the Maritimes to explore the distinct Canadian region. Arriving in Halifax, then proceeding to St. John, then journeying to Moncton, Charlottetown, and finally coming back to Halifax. Students experienced Acadian culture, Hopewell Rocks, the tides of the Bay of Fundy, the awe of Peggy’s Cove, the wind swept sand dunes of Cavendish Beach, a lobster feast, two evenings in the historic city of Charlottetown, history at Citadel in Halifax, the struggle of immigrants at Pier 21, the quaintness of Green Gables, and the grandeur of the Confederation Bridge. Students came back to Manitoba on May 22nd, exhausted but filled with the desire to continue exploring in the future!
