Grade 9 Science students are wrapping up their chemistry unit by completing a lab about physical and chemical changes. Covid definitely made the planning and preparation for this quite interesting this year, but students did a great job of social distancing, sanitizing, and working safely in the lab while they did their hands on learning experiments!
Grade 10 Science students are also working on their chemistry unit. One of their at-home projects was to research a molecule and create a 3D model of it. The projects have been well done and are all hanging in Mrs Robson’s room. Next week students will complete their chemical reactions lab.
Grade 12 Biology students are currently studying DNA. Students completed a lab where they extracted DNA from various fruits and vegetables. They also recently concluded presenting about various genetic conditions that unfortunately can be inherited and/or caused by chromosome mutations.
